CREATIVE GALLERY
- INTRO
Great work speaks for itself. Then again, the sheer number of international awards our work has received over the years also speaks volumes. In 1998, we received our first Cannes Cyber Lion. Since then, weve won multiple times at The One Show, London International Advertising Awards, The New York Festivals, and Cannes (again in 2000); along with many others. In fact, in the year 2000, Advertising Age ranked our team of just twelve 13th in the world among top creative interactive agencies (by awards won). We invite you to dig in to the work and let us know what you think!
Important to note: With the exception of Cat Chase, our most recent piece to promote the Warner Bros. movie, Cats & Dogs, the interactive ads contained in this gallery were produced in our previous incarnation as Bozell Worldwides (later FCBs) Interactive Team. Peter Arndt and John Gregory, Point2s principals, founded, managed and were creative directors of that group. On some projects, they were the primary creative team, as well. We believe, therefore, that the work displayed herein accurately represents us and our capabilities. Point2 acknowledges the fact that other people were involved with all of these pieces.
WARNER BROS./CATS
& DOGS
CLIENT: Warner Bros.
STRUCTURE: Cat
Chase is a free standing, interactive ad that is linked to from banners
and buttons placed on media sites all over the Web. When a banner is clicked,
a pop-up window appears, and the Splash Screen for the main piece instantly
loads while the rest of the piece streams in behind. When the piece is quit
out of and the pop-up closes, the original content in the main window is restored
and audiences can resume surfing where they were.
NAVIGATION: Roll over cat icons on the radar screen to identify intruding cats, then click on one to begin the chase. In the neighborhood, your cursor becomes a beagle who is able to chase the cats in any direction you move your mouse. Clicking on a cat as you get close scores a bite. Three bites is what it takes to catch a cat.
Tips are available at any time during the chase (click on the Tips button in the Cats & Dogs tab at the bottom of the piece). Avoid the hedges and garbage cans, if possible. They are cat gang hiding places. If they come after you, head for your doghouse A.S.A.P. Only then can you safely resume the chase.
When youre finished playing (active play time throughout the campaign averaged close to five minutes), you can click the Return To Surfing button to go back to whence you came; try your skill again (audience, on average, re-played game 3 times); or click on Report To HQ, which takes you to the Cats & Dogs Web site (33% of audience, on average, did this).
JEEP/CLIMBER
CLIENT: DaimlerChrysler
STRUCTURE: Climber
is a free standing, interactive ad that is linked to from banners and buttons
placed on media sites all over the Web. When a banner is clicked, a pop-up window
appears, and the Splash Screen for the main piece instantly loads while the
rest of the piece streams in behind. When the piece is quit out of and the pop-up
closes, the original content in the main window is restored and audiences can
resume surfing where they were.
NAVIGATION: The loading screen, which is interactive, puts you in the driver seat trekking through a desert scene. Move your mouse in the direction youd like to drive. Once the Main Piece loads, youll see a sheer cliff wall with a rock climber hanging from it. Youre instructed to click on the climbers hands or feet to help her climb. The more you click, the higher she climbs and the more you learn about how the Jeep Grand Cherokees Quadra Track transmission does what it does (much the same as the rock climber).
When you're finished playing, you can click the Return To Surfing button to go back to whence you came; climb the wall again; or click on the link to take you to the Grand Cherokee page on the Jeep Web site.
COLEMAN/NIGHT VISION
CLIENT: Coleman
STRUCTURE: Night
Vision is a free standing, interactive ad that is linked to from banners
and buttons placed on media sites all over the Web. When a banner is clicked,
a pop-up window appears, and the Splash Screen for the main piece instantly
loads while the rest of the piece streams in behind. When the piece is quit
out of and the pop-up closes, the original content in the main window is restored
and audiences can resume surfing where they were.
NAVIGATION: As the
Splash Screen comes up, the audiences cursor is turned into the iconic
Coleman lantern illuminating the instructions, in a foreshadowing of
the Main Piece to come. In the Main Piece, the cursor-turned-lantern
illuminates a campground scene. As the user moves his or her lantern around
the scene, various Coleman products are illuminated, and little nuggets of brand
verbiage suggest the inspiration behind each of the products (e.g., a turtles
shell inspired Colemans dome tent; a cocoon inspired their sleeping bag,
etc.).
When finished playing, you can click the Return To Surfing button to go back to whence you came; play the piece again; or click on the link to take you to the Coleman Web site.
LITTLE CAESARS/NIBBLES
CLIENT: Little Caesars
Pizza
STRUCTURE: Nibbles
is a free standing, interactive ad that is linked to from banners and buttons
placed on media sites all over the Web. When a banner is clicked, a pop-up window
appears, and the Splash Screen for the main piece instantly loads while the
rest of the piece streams in behind. When the piece is quit out of and the pop-up
closes, the original content in the main window is restored and audiences can
resume surfing where they were.
NAVIGATION: The Splash
Screen dispenses instructions via a thought bubble dialogue between two pizzas.
In the Main Piece, the audiences cursor has turned into a hand that can
grab when the mouse is clicked. The goal of Nibbles
is to grab as many toppings off of two pizzas as you can before the slices (one
by one) disappear. As the toppings are grabbed, more thought bubbles appear,
describing the quality ingredients found in and on Little Caesars pizzas.
When youre finished playing, you can click the Return To Surfing button to go back to whence you came; play the game again; or click on the link to take you to the Little Caesars Web site.
COMEDY CENTRAL/ALIBIS
CLIENT: Comedy Centrals
The Man Show
STRUCTURE: Alibis
is a free standing, interactive ad that is linked to from banners and buttons
placed on media sites all over the Web. When a banner is clicked, a pop-up window
appears, and the Splash Screen for the main piece instantly loads while the
rest of the piece streams in behind. When the piece is quit out of and the pop-up
closes, the original content in the main window is restored and audiences can
resume surfing where they were.
NAVIGATION: The Splash Screen sets up the tone for Alibis i.e., be a man and go out with the boys; just be sure to come up with a good story to placate the missus. The Main Piece is set up like a Mad Lib, featuring drop down menus to fill in the blanks and complete a tall story. Once a sufficient (or really good) excuse is strung together, the audience is prompted to test it against The Man Show standards, whereupon a photo is generated of the probable response it will get (ranging from bliss to awwww...freak out).
When finished playing,
you can click the Return To Surfing button to go back to whence
you came; generate another alibi; sign up for The Man Show newsletter; send
the interactive ad to a friend; or click on the link to take you to The Man
Show Web site.
